Panda Antivirus 2008 (3 User License) (PC) Review

I've been a Panda user for several years now, and after all that time it's still the antivirus I keep going back to.

Like most anti-virus programs some are bound to conflict with certain software or hardware configurations, but after about 7 years and 5 computers I've still not had that happen to me as yet.

It works quietly in the background, has a simple installation, a reasonably well designed user interface suited to basic and advanced users alike, gets daily virus updates uses very little in the way of computer resources, doesn't have any major impact on load times (booting up the computer does take slightly longer) it covers pretty much everything you could want from an antivirus. It also cleans infected files without you having to even think about it, the only time the user has to get involved (unless you want a more hands on approach) is if it has to quarantine a file that it can't manage to disinfect.

A good price, great software and well worth having, I've never had the need to contact technical support, so I can't comment on the previous reviewer's experience of their help.

Metronic HD 441827 Satellite Freesat Receiver - Installation Recommended Review

I've had this box for a week now and the only "downside" I can see is that you have to spend some time thinking through the menus and what they actually do.
When first plugged in it took only a few minutes to do the automatic tuning.
It only got complicated when I went for the manual tuning to obtain more channels, but it was still worth it. If you are satisfied with the standard Freesat channels I can see no problems.
The manual tune took about 15-20 mins, then I had to try and save the channels I actually wanted to view to my favourites. You have to do this as it comes up with 86 pages of channels. These channels are listed as "S", for scrambled, and "F" for free. I found out that not all the channels marked as free could be viewed, but most of these were obscure stuff anyway. With the manual download most of the EPG guide got lost as well, but you can click on the info button when viewing a programme and this will give you info on what your viewing and also for the next programme, but no more. I also obtained another HD channel called LUX HD whose picture is stunning, and seems to be sharper than the beebs. ( This channel takes you round the world looking at luxurious places and items, which can be interesting viewing seeing how "the other half" live !! ).
One glitch is that always on initial switch on there is no sound, but change channels and the sound appears, and no more problems after that.
A good component of this box is the ability to take a USB stick to view pictures and videos - a neat item.
As said above i've only had this one week,and still getting my head round more of the deeper features, but I can't honestly complain about anything yet and would recommend. This product also gets four stars in a site "trusted reviews".
